1 oz Shallots

1 clove Garlic

1 tbsp Butter

1 tsp Italian Seasoning

3 cup Hemp Hearts

0 1/2 cup Chicken Broth, Bouillon or Consomme

2 tbsp Parsley
DIRECTIONS
- Finely dice the shallot and mince the garlic. Add butter to a sauce pan over medium heat, saute the shallots or 1-2 minutes until translucent. Add the garlic and Italian seasoning cooking for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the hemp seeds stirring to coat with the seasonings then add in the chicken broth. Continue to cook while stirring until all the broth has evaporated and begins to coat the bottom of the pan. Add most of the parsley and transfer to a serving bowl - top with the remaining parsley as a garnish. Each serving is just over 1/4 cup.
Cooking Tip
Note the serving size is only 1/4 cup for this recipe. To beef it up a little and make it a veggie side dish add an equal amount (about 3 cups) of cooked riced cauliflower or broccoli, additional butter and an additional 1/2 tsp of Italian seasoning.
